Community Development Block Program (CDBG) - Drought Related Lateral Program
Purpose
Assist HUD non-entitlement area cities and counties to connect water systems to residences without drinking water.
Assistance Type and Terms
Grants to cities and counties, which in turn provide assistance to rental property owners and homeowners.
Eligible Activities
Lateral pipes and connectors, connection fees, and abandonment of dry wells.
Eligible Applicants
Counties with fewer than 200,000 residents in unincorporated areas and cities with fewer than 50,000 residents that do not participate in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement program.
Application Procedure
Applications are invited through a Notice of Funding Availability. Applications will be accepted on an over-the-counter basis.
