Housing and Education

Families who struggle to find an affordable place to rent are often forced to move when rents increase. These frequent moves have a huge impact on their children, who often have to change schools. It not only disrupts children's school work, it also breaks connections between the children and their teachers and their connections to friends/classmates.

Children experiencing homelessness struggle even more. They are more likely to be absent from school, perform poorly on tests, have to repeat a grade, or even drop out of school altogether.
