Residents of Buena Vista Mobilehome Park in Palo Alto, CA, were in fear of being displaced and priced out of their community when park owners planned to sell to a private developer. But even when the Park was purchased to preserve it as affordable housing, there were little funds for critical repairs and upgrades.

Manufactured and mobilehomes are a significant source of affordable housing and homeownership for many Californians. In a place with a high cost of living, preserving affordable homeownership means the world to the residents that live there.

HCD’s Manufactured Housing Opportunity and Revitalization Program provides funding to help mobilehome owners and mobilehome park owners make health and safety repairs to ensure residents have a safe place to call home.
